DX Cooling Coils

BVS DX coils are manufactured from seamless drawn copper tubes to BS EN 12449, mechanically expanded into high-efficiency aluminium fins with die-formed, self-spacing collars. Coils are designed specifically for direct expansion applications, with copper return bends and tubular headers silver brazed into the tube ends to ensure leak-free operation under refrigerant pressures. Refrigerant connections are provided as standard, with the coil designed to suit the specified refrigerant and operating conditions. The coil casing is fabricated from heavy-gauge galvanised steel to BS EN 10143, forming a rigid and durable assembly. Tube end plates feature die-formed collared holes to safely accommodate thermal expansion and contraction during operation, ensuring long-term reliability.

Chilled Water Cooling Coils
Heating & Cooling Coils

Chilled Water Cooling Coils

Our chilled water cooling coils are designed for use within air handling units and ducted HVAC systems, providing efficient air cooling and dehumidification for commercial applications. All coils are bespoke manufactured to suit the required airflow, cooling duty and available space, making them ideal for both new installations and AHU refurbishment projects. Coils are manufactured using copper tubes and aluminium fins, housed within a durable galvanised or coated steel casing for long-term reliability. Chilled water cooling coils are suitable for connection to chiller or chilled water plant systems and can be supplied on a supply-only or full supply and install basis.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We provide full supply and install coil replacement services for air handling units across commercial applications. This includes site surveys, coil manufacture, removal of existing coils and installation of new units.

We manufacture and supply a wide range of coils including:

  • LTHW heating coils

  • Cooling water coils

  • DX (direct expansion) coils

  • Steam coils

  • Electric heater batteries

All coils can be supplied for ductwork or AHU applications.

Standard lead times are 3–5 weeks, depending on coil size, complexity and material specification. Expedited manufacture may be available for urgent replacements — please contact us to discuss.

What information do you need to quote a coil?

To provide an accurate quotation we typically require:

  • Coil type (LTHW, CW, DX, etc.)

  • Dimensions (height × width × depth)

  • Airflow rate (m³/h)

  • Heating or cooling duty (kW)

  • Water or refrigerant details

  • Connection sizes and orientation

  • Operating temperatures and pressures

If this information isn’t available, we can carry out a site survey.
